Two Roanoke Valley churches St. Johns Episcopal Church and Kingdom Life Ministries, International began to reach out to villages in northern Ghana to help plant trees, build homes and establish a much-needed hospital. But the story doesnt end there. In 1995, Kimoyo, LTD. began the African microeconomic business initiative which encourages self-empowerment by helping local artisans sell their handmade crafts locally, regionally and as an export. These entrepreneurships create souces of livelihood for families in the community and much-needed resources to the region.
